Online reflection 1

The article in the Economist deals with the migrant crisis in Europe right now. It sugests a plan for Europe's refugees.

When you make a comparison like they do in the article, how much money Germans spend on chocolate and how much money the Donors asked for (about the same sum), it makes me think about the madness in my own consumption and others around me. How much money we spend on things that really are unnecessarily and how we complain on the most odd things. I read about a woman who spent 100 000 swedish crowns on redecorating her daughters room. 100 000. That's insane in my mind. Think about how many children in need that amount of money could have fed. For me it is naturally that all countries try to help as much as they can with the refugees. Sweden and Germany do their best, but others need to do more. Most of all I think the wars need to end so people could live side by side in peace. Why is it so hard to accept each other and be friends? Is it politics, religion or what?
